Stats and Mail Processing

  • Web Statistics and Mail are processed by heavy duty SGI Origin 2000 computers with four R10000 Processors and 1 GB RAM .

Connectivity

  • Speedwave has three full fiber optic T3's to multiple redundant and diverse backbones (UUnet, MCI, and Sprint), with additional redundancy / diversity from dual building entry points and multi-homed central office provisioning. Speedwave monitors backbone performance and automatically sends IP traffic down the shortest path using the Cisco BGP4 protocol.

Software

  • Stable and Reliable Operating System - IRIX V6.2 for all Servers
  • Cutting Edge Web Server Software - Apache V1.2 currently has a 40% market share that is increasing. Apache is by far the leader in serving web sites.

Reliability

  • 40 TB (terabyte) robotic tape backup system by Storage Technologies which employs the latest DLT4 technology.
  • All servers and communications equipment are on Deltec battery backup (UPS).
  • 60,000 watt backup generator can power entire office and all equipment.
